After 27 years of pastoring in the greater Portland/ Vancouver area, Janice and I sensed that it was time to step into the next chapter of God’s amazing journey in our lives. What came next wasn’t what we expected. We both believed that God would lead us into our new ministry but no direction materialized. We found ourselves uncertain, doubting that we made the right decision, even battling feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. We didn’t realize at the time that this was where God wanted us--preparing our hearts and lives for His design.
In those dark days, Redemptive Coaching was born. We find ourselves coaching others in the very things God graciously guided us through in those dark days. Though your circumstances are different from ours, the biblical principles and person of God are the same. It is God’s sufficiency, His transforming working that brings the change we need. It is from the presence and working of God in our lives that we can navigate the issues we face.

God does change lives, He is changing mine. I have walked with people in the best and worst of situations. In all of these situations, I am convinced, no one is beyond God’s redemptive work in the gospel. My greatest passion is seeing God transform lives. Restoring Hope, Finding New Directions, Placing Jesus at the Center of life--these are where I seek to come alongside people as God does his deep working.
Janice Pestana (M.Ed., 25 years teaching experience and working with families)
Sometimes it seems like our lives have turned upside down, or we are stuck in our circumstances. Loss, pain, confusion and disappointment may result in emotional anger, fear or frustration--a thought that life isn’t fair. Questions may arise like, why am I going through these hard times? Why does it feel like God is distant?
These thoughts and feelings are common to people but there is a lifeline to hope and change. I come alongside my clients to hear their story. I share biblical principles of God’s truth and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ to bring the change God wants in their lives. I will walk with you as God reveals Himself and as you enter into a vital, life-changing relationship with Him.
